About Our Community Garden
WELCOME TO JOPPATOWNE GROW!
Joppatowne Grow is a garden ministering to the community by delivering flowers, fresh organic vegetables, and education for the local youth.
We grow community as we engage teams to work the garden, deliver flowers and share knowledge of sustainable permaculture practices which can be employed by backyard flower and vegetable gardeners within the local community.
Fresh Veggies
We grow everything organically, no miracle grow or pesticides here. Our best crops last year were spinach and Jerusalem artichokes
Community
We are thrilled to have others join us.
Fresh Flowers
We happily accept any perennial flowers you might want to re gift for our flower border.
Trees
Proudly now home to some fruit and nut trees.
Corporate Sponsors
This is not your standard rent-a-plot type of community garden.
This is a garden where the crops and the water have been thoughtfully and prayerfully donated. The produce gets taken to food banks, the needy, and local veggie fans.
We have hosted groups like Girl Scouts and FCA. Schedule a working visit and taste the vegetables, learn about growing food.
Anyone is welcome to plant some thing in our beds. We would be happy to discuss the best placement. We do request that the plant parent keep after the plant so that it doesn’t crowd away all the other plants.
Frequently Asked Questions
We are usually at the garden on Saturday mornings weather permitting. We appreciate if you contact us with the form on the Contact page to coordinate.
How do I get some ground here, do I rent a plot?
The ground and the water are donated, and the produce is shared. If you would like to contribute plants and or labor, contact us!
